Our place is in the Nand Jyot Industrial Estate, specifically unit C-16 over in Safed Pool. If you know the A K Road area, you know it’s very industrial and a bit gritty. Speed-O- Controls has been operating from this estate for a long time. It’s not the prettiest part of Mumbai, but it’s where all the real work happens. The estate is always full of tempos and people moving heavy crates around. Our unit is basically a mix of a small workshop and a basic office. We spend our days dealing with various control systems and mechanical parts. It’s the kind of work where your hands might get a bit dirty. We don’t have a big HR department or a marketing team. It’s just a group of us who know how the machinery works. The building is solid but definitely shows its age. We’ve got some old fans that have been running for decades. It gets loud when the neighboring units are in full production, but we don't mind. We’ve got a routine that works for us. We show up early, get the orders ready, and deal with whatever problems come up that day. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern. We just provide what we make and try to stay out of the way of the heavy traffic on A K Road when we go home. It is a simple way of making a living, and it keeps us busy.
