Span Impex

Our office is tucked away in the Fort area, specifically Office No 1 in the Old Hari Lila House. It is a bit of a walk from the station, but being right opposite the General Post Office makes things convenient for some of the errands we have to run. The 3rd Cross Vrushabhavathi Nagar area is always packed with people and delivery vans moving around at all hours. Inside the office, it is mostly just desks covered in folders and a lot of ringing phones. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, checking lists and making sure the numbers match up on the shipping documents. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it's on high, but it keeps the air moving during those humid afternoons. We have been here for a while, so the wooden floors have some creaks in certain spots that you learn to avoid. It’s a plain setup at Span Impex, nothing flashy about the furniture or the way things are arranged on the shelves. We usually have a stack of empty boxes in the corner and a coffee machine that works most of the time. The windows look out onto the busy street where you can hear the local vendors calling out to people passing by. It is a lot of staring at spreadsheets and talking to people on the phone. By evening, the office is usually a mess of notes.
