South King Roadways

Our office is right on 41283 Tank Road in Mankhurd. It’s in the Chatti Chawl area, which is a very active part of the neighborhood. If you look across from us, you’ll see the Cotton Green Railway Station. You can hear the trains pulling in and out all day long. South King Roadways is basically just a local spot where we manage the transport stuff. The chawl has its own rhythm. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There’s a lot of traffic on Tank Road, and sometimes it takes a while just to cross the street to get some lunch. We’ve got a small room where we keep our ledgers and take calls. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. It’s more about getting the work done than looking pretty. Most of the guys here have been around for years. We know the people at the station and the shopkeepers nearby. When the monsoon hits, the road gets a bit messy, but we keep the office open. It’s a practical place for a transport business because we’re so close to the railway. We spend our mornings checking schedules and our evenings wrapping up the day’s paperwork. It’s just how it is here in Mankhurd. No frills, just everyday work on Tank Road.
