Sonex Electronics

You can find Sonex Electronics over on J P Road in Andheri West. We are at number 6, which is right in the middle of a lot of activity. The shop is filled with all sorts of electronic parts, wires, and gadgets that need fixing. There is always a soldering iron heating up somewhere and the smell of melting solder in the air. We spend a lot of time hunched over workbenches looking at small circuits. It’s a bit messy because we have parts from different devices scattered around. Sometimes we are waiting on a specific component to arrive so we can finish a job. Customers come in with all kinds of broken things, and we tell them honestly if it can be fixed or not. J P Road is always busy, so there is plenty of noise from the rickshaws and buses outside. We have been in Andheri West for quite a while now and we know the pace of the neighborhood. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put things. We don't use any complicated systems; we just write things down in a ledger and keep track of the repairs that way. It’s a simple life here at number 6. We enjoy the challenge of figuring out why something stopped working. It’s just us and our tools, doing what we do every day.
