SONA MACHINE TOOLS is located right at Door No. 51 on Tamarind Lane. We are very close to the Stock Exchange Post Office in the Fort area. If you know Mumbai, you know these lanes are old and narrow, filled with history and a lot of small businesses. Our shop is one of those places where space is tight, but every inch is used for something. We have stacks of tools and parts lining the walls. It’s a bit dim inside sometimes because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. We spend our days dealing with various mechanical parts and machinery. People often drop by because they are in the neighborhood for other errands. It’s a high-energy area. You can hear the city outside all day long. We have been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We open up, check the inventory, and handle the walk-in requests. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel a bit sticky, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We don’t have a website that we update often or anything like that. We mostly just talk to people face-to-face. It’s about the work itself, not the presentation. We keep our tools sharp and our records in big ledgers. It feels like time moves a bit differently in these old lanes, even with everything else changing around us. We just stick to what we know.
