Somaiya Carriers

Somaiya Carriers is based on the ground floor of the Andheri East Industrial Centre, at unit A 12. Being on the ground floor makes it a lot easier for us to move goods in and out without having to deal with elevators. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the place has a real lived-in feel to it. There’s usually a lot of paperwork on the desks and empty pallets leaning against the walls. We handle a lot of local transport for the other businesses in this industrial center. It’s mostly about making sure the trucks are loaded right and that the drivers know where they are going. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any marketing people on staff. It’s just us doing the daily work of logistics. Sometimes the traffic outside is so bad that everything gets delayed, and we have to spend the whole afternoon making calls to apologize. We’ve learned to take things as they come. Our team is small, and we’ve all known each other for years, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed even when we’re busy. We don’t make big promises we can't keep. We just tell people when we can move their stuff and how much it’ll cost. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of business. We’re just here to provide a reliable way for people to get their goods from one place to another without a lot of drama or extra cost.
