Solanki Salon & Academy

We are located in Malad West, right on Mamlatwadi Road at Shop B/1 in the Amizara building. It’s a pretty busy street, and being near the IDBI Bank helps people find us when they’re coming for the first time. We’ve been running this place as a salon and an academy for a while now. It’s a bit of a family vibe here. We teach the younger kids how to cut hair and manage a shop while we handle the regular customers. Malad is a crowded place, so we’ve learned to make the most of the space we have. It’s not a massive showroom, but it’s got everything we need. Most of our day is spent balancing the teaching side with the actual haircuts and styling. It keeps us on our toes. The Mamlatwadi area has a lot of energy, and we feel like a part of that. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the bank every day. We don't use any of those big marketing slogans because people around here know us anyway. If we do a bad job, the whole neighborhood finds out, so we just focus on being consistent. We’ve had some of the same combs and chairs for years, but they work just fine. It’s a practical setup for practical people. No one comes here expecting a five-star hotel treatment, they just want to look decent and have a chat.
