St.Joseph I.T.I.Don Bosco,Kurla

Down in Bhandup West, specifically at Jamil Nagar, is where you’ll find our little corner of St. Joseph I.T.I. Don Bosco, Kurla. We’re tucked away in William Chawl, at 9/F, which is where the work happens. Being in a chawl setting in Mumbai means space is tight and things are always moving. We mostly focus on the technical training side of things, helping folks learn a trade so they can get out there and find decent work. It’s not a fancy campus with manicured lawns; it’s a real, lived-in space where people are actually getting their hands dirty and learning how things work. The neighborhood around Jamil Nagar is busy and can be a bit noisy, but it’s got a lot of character. We’ve been here for some time now, and we see a lot of different people coming through our doors looking for a bit of guidance or a skill to pick up. The instructors here are just regular guys who know their stuff and aren't afraid to explain things in plain English. We don’t have a big budget for decorations or fancy furniture. Most of our resources go into the tools and the teaching. It’s a straightforward operation. We just want to make sure the people who come here leave knowing more than they did when they walked in. That is the main thing for us. It is simple but it works for everyone involved.
