Solanki Engineering Co

Started working at Solanki Engineering Co quite some time back. We are right here at Opera House, specifically on Sant Sena Maharaj Marg. It's a busy spot. Most days are just about getting through the jobs that come in. We deal with various mechanical parts and sometimes it gets pretty loud in the shop. The building at 78/84/8 has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. My desk is usually covered in drawings or old parts that someone needs us to look at. It isn't a fancy place. We have some older machines that still run better than the new ones people try to sell us. Usually, the morning starts with tea and then we look at what needs to be finished from yesterday. Some days are slow, but mostly we are kept busy by folks from the neighborhood or people who have been coming to us for years. The air always smells a bit like oil and metal. If you walk past, you’ll probably hear the lathe running. It’s just how things go here. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the real work happens on the floor with tools in hand. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard to hear, but we manage. That’s just life in this part of town.
