Soft Touch

At Soft Touch, we are located at Crawford Market on Kothnur Dinne Road, 8th Phase 14. This area is always buzzing with people, and our shop is right in the middle of all that energy. We deal with various textiles and soft materials, hence the name we chose. The inside of the shop is a bit cramped because we try to display as many different fabrics as possible. There are rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and stacks of folded items on every table. It smells like new fabric and a bit like the street food from the vendors outside. I spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of material and cutting them for customers who come in. It’s a job that requires a bit of patience, especially when the market gets really crowded on the weekends. We don't have a corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just me and a couple of helpers who have been with me for years. We know most of the regular customers by name, and they often stop by just to see what new stock has arrived. The lighting isn't great, and the floorboards creak a little, but it has a nice feel to it. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and helping people find the right color or texture they are looking for. It’s a simple life behind the counter, but I enjoy the daily interactions with the people who walk through our door.
