Smart Prints

Our shop, Smart Prints, is located at Shop No 7/19 inside the B D D Chawl in Worli. This is a very old part of the city and everybody around here knows the B D D Chawls. We are near Vasantbaug and not far from the Gandhi Ground at all. The shop itself is small, which is common for these ground-floor units in the chawl. It is a busy neighborhood with kids playing outside and people constantly walking by the front door. You can hear the noise of the city all day long. Being near Gandhi Ground means there is usually something happening nearby, which brings a lot of life to the street. The shop is filled with the smell of paper and ink. It is not a polished corporate office; it is a working print shop with machines taking up most of the space. The walls are lined with samples of things we have done over the years. We have a small counter where people come to talk about what they need. It can get a bit crowded when more than two people are inside at the same time. The B D D Chawl has a lot of history, and we feel like we are just one small part of that daily story. It is easy to find if you just head towards Vasantbaug and look for the 7/19 sign. We spend most of our time keeping the machines running and checking the orders.
