Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre means being in a part of Mumbai that has a lot of soul. The streets around here are always full of life, and the building stands out quite a bit. It’s a big operation, but at the end of the day, it’s just a lot of people coming together to do their jobs. We have researchers and medical staff all rubbing shoulders in the elevators. It’s a mix of a modern facility and the old-school charm of the Girgaon neighborhood. Sometimes the traffic on the way to work is a nightmare, but that’s Mumbai for you. We don’t really use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We are just here to help the people who walk through those front doors. The lobby is usually buzzing with families and visitors. We’ve got some really high-tech stuff, but we also have staff who have been here for years and know every corner of the place. It’s a busy, noisy, and productive environment. We focus on the practical side of things, making sure everything is where it needs to be. It’s a serious place, but you’ll still hear some jokes in the breakroom. We are just a local fixture on this road, trying to make things work for everyone who comes in. It is a lot of work but it feels right.
