Shyam Pagan Didi Shop

Our shop is located at Naigaum 7th Cross, right on Ss Ashram Road in Cholannayana Halli. It is a bit of a long address but once you are in the neighborhood, we are easy to spot. Shyam Pagan Didi Shop is where we keep all the daily essentials that the families around here need. The shelves are packed with everything from soap to bags of snacks. I usually spend the morning restocking the things that sold out the day before. The 7th Cross can get a bit muddy when it rains because the water doesn't drain off Ss Ashram Road very fast. We have to put out some gunny bags so people don't slip when they come in. Didi is usually around to help manage the customers while I handle the inventory. It’s a busy little place and there is always someone coming in for a last-minute item for dinner. We know most of the people in Cholannayana Halli by name. It feels more like a community spot than just a store. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit when it's on high speed, but it keeps the air moving. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a practical shop for practical people. We stay open late most nights because that's when the office workers are coming home and realize they forgot something. It’s a steady kind of life here.
