Shyam Art Craft

Our workshop is at 2126 Motilal Nagar, specifically in the 268 New Line area of Goregaon West. We are on Street No 5 in Mahavir Colony. Shyam Art Craft is where we make various decorative items and handmade things. It’s more of a workshop than a showroom. There are tools and materials scattered around most of the time. We do a lot of woodwork and painting. Some of the stuff we make is for festivals and some is just for home decor. It’s a bit messy with sawdust and paint tins, but that’s how we work. We aren't a big factory. It’s just a few of us who enjoy making things with our hands. We’ve lived and worked in Goregaon for a long time. The neighborhood is quite lively, especially in Mahavir Colony. People often stop by to see what we are currently making. We don't have a formal sales team. If someone likes what they see, they usually just ask us the price. We use simple machines and a lot of hand tools. The work takes time. You can't rush the paint when it needs to dry. We often work late into the night when we have a big order to finish. It’s a quiet life of making things. We’ve had this space in Motilal Nagar for years and haven't felt the need to move. It’s where all our ideas happen and where we feel most comfortable.
