Shubham Transports Service is located at 3 Bunder Road on Worli Hill Road. It’s a spot that’s easy to get to once you’re in the Worli area. We have our small office there where we manage the trucks and the movement of goods. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers and checking on where the loads are. Worli Hill Road can be a bit steep and busy, so we have to be careful with the timing of our vehicles. It is not a corporate setup at all. We have some old wooden furniture and stacks of logbooks piled up on the side. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more focused on the transport side of things. We see a lot of different people coming through for deliveries. Sometimes things get delayed because of the Mumbai traffic, and we have to spend a lot of time on the phone explaining that. It’s a practical job. We don't use any fancy software for everything, just simple records. There’s a lot of tea drinking and waiting for the right time to move the big trucks. Being near Bunder Road is useful for the routes we take. We’ve been here for a long time and the neighbors know us. It’s just about getting the goods from one place to another without too much trouble. We just do our work and go home.
