Shubham Engineering Works

We started Shubham Engineering Works right here in Barve Nagar quite some time back. It’s a neighborhood where everyone knows each other’s business. Our shop is easy to find if you’re familiar with the area. We have a heavy iron door that we roll up every morning. The floor is concrete and has some cracks in it, but it holds the weight of our machines just fine. We deal with a lot of dust and metal shavings, so we spend a good bit of time sweeping up at the end of the day. It’s honest work. Sometimes the power goes out in Barve Nagar, and we just have to wait it out or work by the door where there’s some natural light. We don't have any fancy signs or big posters. Just the name painted on the front. People come to us because we’ve been in the same spot for a long time. It’s mostly local jobs that keep us busy. We have a small bench outside where we sit during breaks. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day, kids playing and bikes going by. It’s not a quiet place, but it feels like home to us. We’ve got a few old machines that we keep running with a bit of oil and some patience. That’s the way we do things here in our little corner. It’s steady enough for us.
