Setting up here in Andheri East at the Vishal CHS on M V Road was a practical choice for us. Being on the ground floor helps a lot because chemicals are heavy and moving drums around isn't easy work. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic on M V Road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our office is tucked away in C-1, and it’s usually stacked with paperwork and samples. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to delivery drivers who are trying to navigate the narrow lanes around here. It’s not the most glamorous business, dealing with industrial liquids and powders, but it’s what we know. We mostly deal with other businesses who need stuff for their factories or workshops. Sometimes the air smells a bit sharp, depending on what we’ve got in stock that day, but that’s just part of the job. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we know each other's habits and how we like our tea. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us trying to get the orders right and making sure the supplies get out on time despite the Mumbai rain or the afternoon traffic jams. We’ve seen Andheri change quite a bit from our spot here, but our daily routine stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and do our work until the day is over.
