Shri M D Ahuja Trust Marriage Hall is tucked away at 132 St Paul Road in Dadar. We are right behind the Hindmata Cinema, which is a place everyone in Mumbai knows. The building itself is the M D Ahuja Trust Building, so it has a bit of a solid, old-fashioned feel to it. This area of 400014 is always packed with people shopping for clothes or heading to the movies. Our hall is used for all sorts of things, like weddings or community meetings. It’s a large space that we try to keep in good shape, though the walls could always use a bit of touch-up paint. Being in Dadar means it’s easy for people to reach us by train or bus, but the traffic on St Paul Road can be a real headache sometimes. I spend my days coordinating with people who want to book the hall and making sure the cleaners do their job after an event is over. It’s a lot of work to manage a trust property, and we don't have a big fancy office. Most of the time I’m just walking around with a clipboard or talking to the security guard at the gate. It’s a practical place that serves the local community. We don't do any big promotions, we just stay busy with the people who know us from being in the neighborhood for so many years.
