Shree Swami Samarth Engineering Works

Our workshop is located in the Chinai Building, specifically at 55/18 in the Sitaram area of Lower Parel. It is very close to the Lower Parel station, so there is always the sound of trains and traffic nearby. We do engineering work, which basically means we spend our days fixing machinery or making new metal parts for people. The shop is a bit of a mess sometimes with tools, scrap metal, and containers of oil everywhere. It’s definitely a place where you are going to get your hands dirty. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you walk in, you just talk to one of the guys working on the lathe or the welding machine. Being in Lower Parel for so long, we have seen the whole area change from factories to big glass buildings, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We take on all kinds of small and medium engineering jobs. Sometimes it’s a quick fix for a neighbor, and other times it is a more complicated part that takes a few days of work. We try to be practical about the timelines we give. Hard work and a bit of grease are just part of the daily life here. If you need something made out of metal or a machine part repaired, this is where we do it. It is a simple, honest workshop without any of the fancy office trimmings you see nowadays. We just focus on the job at hand.
