Our office is located at G-3 near the Masjid in Mahatma Phule Peth. We are right in the middle of the Timber Market, situated directly opposite Ambika Terrace. This part of the city is very industrial and there are always trucks moving and the sound of wood being sawed nearby. Our work involves transport and logistics, mainly getting goods moved from one point to another. It is a lot of time spent on the telephone talking to drivers or checking on where a load is currently sitting. The office is a very basic setup, just a place to keep our ledgers and handle the daily calls. The traffic around the Timber Market is often very heavy, especially when the big lorries are trying to navigate the narrow turns in the morning. We spend our time making sure that the pickups happen on time and that the cargo reaches where it needs to go. It is a bit of a dusty environment because of all the timber business happening right outside our door, but that is just part of working in this Peth. We have been in this spot for a long time and the local traders know us well. We do not have a fancy corporate headquarters. It is just a desk, a phone, and a lot of patience. Sometimes weather or traffic causes delays, and we have to fix the schedule as we go.
