Shree Krupa Screen Arts

Our shop, Shree Krupa Screen Arts, is tucked away in Indrani Nagar, right behind the Shivsena Office at Amar Mahal. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which we like. We spend most of our time dealing with ink and screens. It’s messy work, and my hands are usually stained with some color or another by the end of the day. We do printing for different things, mostly whatever local folks or small businesses need. It takes a bit of time to get the screens set up just right, so we don't like to rush it. If the alignment is off, the whole thing looks wrong, and then we have to start over. The space is filled with drying racks and stacks of paper and cloth. It smells like chemicals and old coffee most of the time. We’ve been doing this for a while now, so we know which materials work best for certain jobs. We aren't a big factory; it's just a small operation where we do the work ourselves. Sometimes the machinery acts up, and we have to spend an afternoon fixing it instead of printing, but that’s part of the life. People find us by word of mouth mostly. They come by, show us what they want, and we tell them if we can do it. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy. We don't have a website or anything fancy, just our name.
