Shree Kafinath Roadways

Shree Kafinath Roadways is based at 1670/8 Victoria Cross Road. It's a busy place with a lot of noise from the street. We have a small office here where we keep all our records and talk to the drivers. The walls are covered in maps and old notes that we’ve pinned up over the years. We spend most of our time on the phone or drinking tea while we wait for deliveries to come in. Victoria Cross Road gets very crowded in the morning, so we usually get here early to beat the traffic. It’s not a fancy setup, just some desks and chairs and a lot of paperwork. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. My father started it and then passed it down to us. We handle all kinds of transport jobs, big and small. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we just deal with it as it comes. The office is a bit dusty from all the trucks outside, but we don't mind. We know most of the people on this block by their first names. It’s a simple life, mostly just making sure things get from one place to another without too many problems. We keep our logbooks by hand usually because the computer acts up sometimes. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We just keep going every day.
