Shree Halai Lohana Mahajanwadi Hall

We are located at 414 and 435 in the Kalbadevi area of Mumbai. This part of the city is always incredibly crowded with people buying and selling all sorts of things. Our hall is a Mahajanwadi, which means it is used mostly for community gatherings, weddings, and local religious functions. The building is quite old and has high ceilings and large doors, which is typical for this neighborhood. It doesn’t have the modern look of a new banquet hall, but it has a lot of history for the families who use it. We spend most of our time managing the bookings and making sure the space is ready for the next event. Sometimes there is an echo in the hall when it is empty, but it fills up with noise and music once a function starts. Kalbadevi is a very busy market area, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We don’t have a website or a sales team to promote the hall. Most people find us because their families have been using this space for generations. The staff here has been looking after the building for a long time, doing everything from sweeping the big floors to checking the lights. It is a very practical and honest place. We just focus on keeping the hall in good enough shape so that the community has a place to gather.
