Simi Designs

Simi Designs is located at 85/87 Old Hanuman Lane, right at Shop - 5. If you know this part of town, you know it is a maze of narrow streets and old buildings. Our shop is small, and we have stuff tucked into every corner just to make it fit. It is usually pretty crowded outside with people pushing carts and carrying bags of goods. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down, mostly just handling the daily flow of people coming in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are always too busy to actually get around to it. Sometimes it feels like the whole city is trying to squeeze through Old Hanuman Lane at once. Inside Shop - 5, it is a bit quieter, but not by much. We have been here for a good amount of time and know most of the other shopkeepers around us. It is a very old-school way of doing things, where everyone knows everyone’s business. We don’t really have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the people who walk in. The floor is a bit uneven and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we do. We just keep our heads down and work on our designs, making sure everything is ready for the next day. It’s a bit of a squeeze but we managed to make this place our own over the years. Not much else to say.
