Shivdatta Traders

You can find Shivdatta Traders over in Lalbaug, specifically at 105 in the Amit Industrial Estate. It’s a typical industrial area, so it’s always loud with trucks and people moving things around. We’ve been in this unit for a long time now. It’s dusty and there’s always something happening in the hallway. We handle trading for different items, whatever our customers are looking for at the moment. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a fancy meeting. We have desks piled with papers and boxes everywhere. Lalbaug has that old Mumbai feel to it which we really like. Most days we are just coordinating deliveries and checking stock. Sometimes the lift in the estate acts up, so we take the stairs which is a bit of a workout. It keeps us moving. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the daily tasks. Our neighbors in the estate are good people, we all help each other out when someone needs a hand or a tool. We’ve seen the area develop a lot, but the industrial estate stays pretty much the same year after year. We start early and stay until the work is done. It’s a simple operation with no frills.
