SHIVAM SALES CORPORATION is located at 675 Madhavrai Galli within the M.J. Market. If you know Mumbai, you know that M.J. Market is a maze of tiny lanes and old buildings, and we have been right in the middle of it for years. We deal mostly in textiles and different types of fabrics. The shop is quite small and every inch of wall space is covered with rolls of cloth. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing business, where people come in to see the material and talk about the price over a cup of tea. There is no air conditioning, just a few old fans that hum all day long. The noise from the market outside is constant, with people shouting and carts being pushed through the narrow gallis. We don't have a website or anything fancy; people usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past. We spend our time measuring cloth and helping customers find the right shade or pattern. Lifting heavy bundles and organizing the stock so we can actually find things takes up most of our energy. We are a small team and we’ve known our regular customers for a very long time. It is a busy life in the market, but we wouldn't know what else to do with ourselves. Just trying to keep the business running like it always has.
