Shivam Arts

You can find Shivam Arts at Matunga West, G-18/19. It’s not a very large shop, but we’ve packed it with as many supplies as possible. There are stacks of paper, bottles of ink, and brushes everywhere you look. The floor usually has a few paint stains on it, but we think it adds character to the place. We spend our days helping people find the right tools for their projects or working on our own pieces in the back. Matunga is a nice area, quite different from the busier parts of the city. It has a bit more of a relaxed feeling, which suits an art shop. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our shelves are just plain wood. Sometimes it’s hard to find things because we have so much stock tucked away in every corner. We don’t really do any big promotions. People just know us as the local art spot. We like talking to the students and the hobbyists who come in. It’s a quiet life, mostly spent surrounded by colors and textures. We don't have a corporate structure or anything like that. It's just us in the shop, making sure people get what they need for their creative work. It’s a bit dusty and the fan makes a clicking noise, but it’s our space and we’re happy with how things are going here. We open the shutters every morning and see the same familiar faces walking by.
