Shiv Exports

Down at Hammersmith Indl. Estate, things are always moving. Our place is at 224 Sitladevi Temple Road in Mahim. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machines running in the background. Shiv Exports is just one of many units here. We have a lot of floor space, mostly filled with crates and packing materials. It’s not a quiet place to work. The air feels a bit heavy with the smell of grease and cardboard. We spend a lot of time checking lists and making sure things are packed right. Sometimes the delivery trucks get blocked in the narrow driveway and everyone starts honking. It gets frustrating but that’s just life in Mahim. We have a small desk in the corner with a computer that’s a bit slow. There’s a tea stall just outside the main gate where we go when we need a break. The walls are that plain industrial grey and there’s always some dust on the windows. We don't really have visitors, just people dropping off goods or picking them up. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving stuff around all day. The lights hum a little bit when they’ve been on too long. We just keep our heads down and get the shipping done. It’s what we’ve been doing at this estate for a while now and it suits us fine.
