Shelter Incorporation is tucked away at 67, Shivaji Kuteer Mandal, right on Lbs Marg in Kurla (W). If you know that part of Mumbai, you know how loud and crowded it gets. We’ve been here for a long time. It’s a small office, nothing special to look at. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find us because they live in the neighborhood or they’ve seen our sign while sitting in traffic on Lbs Marg. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples everywhere. We don’t have a mission statement on the wall. We just try to get the work done as it comes. It can be a struggle with the noise outside, but we’re used to it by now. The tea stall nearby is where we spend most of our breaks. We aren't trying to be a big global corporation. We’re just a local business in Kurla West. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the street gets flooded during the monsoon, but we keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. We know our customers by name, and they know us. We don't use big words or fancy pitches. We just tell you what we can do. That’s how we’ve always run things here at Shelter Incorporation. It’s a tight space but we’ve made it our own over the years.
