There’s always someone waiting or someone rushing past with papers. Our little corner at OPD No 14 is where we spend most of our hours. It’s not a very big space. We have the basic chairs and the desks where we write everything down. The walls are that standard hospital white, maybe a bit yellowed now. We see a lot of ear and throat issues here, which makes sense for an ENT spot. People from all over Govandi come in, usually looking a bit tired. We don't have fancy coffee machines or anything. Just the water cooler in the hallway that sometimes leaks a little. It’s a plain, working hospital environment. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just take the folders, call the next name, and do the checkups. The ground floor stays pretty cool even when it’s hot outside, which is a small mercy. We've been in this spot for a long time now. Most of us know every crack in the floor tiles by heart. It’s just a normal day for us here.
