Shariq Hall

Shariq Hall is a space we manage over in Andheri West. The address is Plot No 211/233, and we are tucked away on the 27th Cross road, right behind the Versova Telephone Exchange. It’s a quiet enough spot considering how busy Andheri usually is. The hall is basically a large open room with a tiled floor and some fans hanging from the ceiling. We don't do any catering or decorations ourselves. We just provide the empty space for people who want to host a small party, a prayer meeting, or maybe a neighborhood gathering. Janki Devi Pub is just around the corner, which makes it easier for people to find the lane. I spend my mornings sweeping the hall and checking that the lights are working. It’s a very simple building with no fancy glass or modern designs. We’ve had it for a long time and the neighborhood has grown up all around it. Sometimes the neighbors complain if the music is too loud, so we have to tell people to keep it down after ten. The parking on 27th Cross is very limited, so guests usually have to find a spot on the main road and walk a bit. It’s not a corporate event center, just a local hall for local people. We handle all the bookings through a simple notebook I keep in the small office at the front.
