Heena Dresses

Our place is on the first floor of the Vakharia Building. It’s Shop No. 7. Shariff Devji Road is always moving, with trucks and people everywhere. You have to walk up the stairs to find us. Once you’re inside Heena Dresses, it’s a bit quieter than the street. We have racks of dresses everywhere. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of old stone and fabric. We spend our time sorting through the new arrivals and making sure everything is hung up properly. It’s a small team here. We mostly just talk amongst ourselves and help the people who come up the stairs. It’s not like a big mall store. It’s more personal. We know the other shop owners in the building too. We often share a quick meal or some tea in the afternoon. The windows look out over the street, so we can see the chaos below. It's a good spot for what we do. We don't have any flashy signs inside. Just the clothes and some basic lighting. We keep a ledger for the sales. It’s all very straightforward. If you are looking for dresses, you just come up and browse. We don't bother people much while they look. It’s a steady rhythm we have here. Every day is pretty much the same, and we like it that way.
