Sharda Bhavan Hotel

Our place, Sharda Bhavan Hotel, is tucked away inside the Satellite Vaas Compound in Sakinaka. We are right near the Nandjyot Industrial area, which means the whole neighborhood is always buzzing with the sound of machinery and trucks. It’s not the kind of hotel you see in magazines. It’s a practical building meant for people who need a place to stay while they’re working or passing through Mumbai. We have a few rooms upstairs and a small area where we serve basic meals. My brother and I take turns at the front desk. The compound can be a bit confusing to find at first because of all the gates and warehouses, but once you’re in, we’re right there. The rooms are plain with just the essential things like a bed, a small table, and a fan. We don't have air conditioning in all of them, just the ones people pay extra for. The walls are painted a simple cream color, and we try to keep them clean, though the city dust always finds a way in. In the mornings, I usually go out to get fresh milk and bread for the guests. It’s a busy life here in the 400072 area. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just find us or hear about us from their friends at the industrial units nearby. It’s just a regular local business and we’ve been here for many years now.
