Shankar Scooters

Shankar Scooters has its home in Grant Road. We are based in the Banker Building, specifically shop number 4 at 160/A. The Alib area is a very old part of the city, and our shop fits right in. We spend our days surrounded by scooters and motorbikes. There is always the smell of petrol and engine oil in the air. Our floor is stained with years of work, and we don't bother trying to make it look new. It’s a workshop, after all. We have racks of spare parts and tools that have been used thousands of times. People bring their scooters to us when they are making strange noises or just won't start. We’ve been at this Banker Building location for a long time. Grant Road is a place where you have to be quick and alert. We work on the vehicles right there at the entrance or inside the small shop. We don't have a waiting room with AC. Customers usually just stand around and watch us work or go get a tea nearby while they wait. It’s a very hands-on business. We use our experience to figure out what’s wrong with a bike. There are no fancy gadgets here. We just like fixing things and seeing the scooters back on the road. It’s hard on the back sometimes, but it’s what we know how to do. We keep going as long as there are bikes to fix and people needing help with their wheels in the neighborhood.
