Shammis Hair & Beauty Parlour

We’ve been running Shammis Hair & Beauty Parlour from this spot on Khar Dana Road for quite some time now. It is up on the second floor of Mawli House, right behind where Dr. Sharad Raj has his clinic. People sometimes miss the entrance because it’s tucked away, but once you find the stairs in Waring Pada, it’s easy enough. We don't have a big sign outside or anything like that. The room isn't huge, but it works for what we do every day. Most of our regulars are just folks from around Khar West who walk over when they have a bit of free time. Mumbai weather can get pretty sticky, so we try to keep the place airy. It's just a normal setup with chairs and mirrors where we handle hair and basic skin stuff. We aren't trying to be one of those fancy salons you see in the malls. It’s just us here, working through the day. Sometimes the building gets a bit noisy with the other tenants, but that is just how things go in this part of town. If you are looking for us, just look for the 254 number on the building. It’s a quiet enough space once you’re actually inside and away from the street noise. We spend a lot of our time just tidying up between people and making sure the towels are fresh. It’s a simple life here in the parlour.
