Shama Electronics

Shama Electronics is a small place tucked away in Kandivali East 8. We’ve been here long enough that most of the locals know our faces. We mostly deal with small home appliances and electronic repairs. The shop isn't much to look at, just a few glass cases and a workbench in the back that's seen better days. Kandivali East is a lively neighborhood, and there’s always something happening outside our door. We spend our mornings opening up and checking what came in the day before. Sometimes it's a toaster, sometimes it's a remote control that stopped working. We don't make promises we can't keep about how fast we can finish a job. If we're busy, we're busy. We use simple tools and a bit of patience to figure out what's wrong with the stuff people bring us. There’s a tea stall nearby that we visit a few times a day. We don't have any corporate branding or fancy logos. It’s just Shama Electronics on a painted sign. Most of our work comes from people walking by or neighbors telling their friends about us. We’ve stayed in Kandivali East 8 because it’s home. It’s where we know the streets and the people. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is sitting on the bench. It's a living, and we're content with that. There's always something to fix. Sometimes we have to hunt for parts in the local markets if we don't have them in the shop. It can be a bit of a hassle traveling around, but it's part of the job. We don't have any employees, just a couple of us who share the work. Kandivali East 8 is a place where people still talk to their neighbors.
