Shakti Copy Centre

Shakti Copy Centre is located at 1, Bhadran Nagar No 1 in Malad West. We are very close to N L H, which means we get a lot of students coming in throughout the day. The shop is small and usually feels quite warm because of the photocopy machines running all the time. There is always a smell of paper and ink in the air, which I have grown to like over the years. We have a counter where we take the papers and a small space for people to stand while they wait. It can get very crowded in the afternoons when school lets out. We don't have any fancy technology, just our reliable old machines that we have to fix ourselves sometimes. When there is a power cut, everything stops and we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors until the lights come back on. It is a very local kind of business. We know most of the people who live in Bhadran Nagar by their first names. We don't have a big mission or a strategy, we just make copies and bind books for whoever needs them. Sometimes we run out of paper or ink and have to close for an hour to go get more. It is a simple, honest way to make a living and we have been doing it for a long time now.
