Shah Roadways

Shah Roadways is located at the Highway Commercial Centre in Goregaon East, specifically at unit number nine. Being right near the highway makes a lot of sense for what we do. We deal with trucks and transport all day long. The office is mostly just a place to park the paperwork and take phone calls from drivers. It can get pretty loud with the traffic noise from the main road, but you stop noticing it after a week. There’s always a calendar on the wall with dates circled and a map that’s seen better days. We spend a lot of time coordinating schedules and making sure loads are picked up on time. It’s a stressful job sometimes, especially when a truck gets a flat or there’s a delay at the state border. We aren't a massive logistics firm with thousands of vehicles. We’re a smaller outfit that knows our drivers by name. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. The coffee is usually strong and the conversations are mostly about fuel prices or road conditions. It’s a gritty business, and we don’t try to pretend otherwise. We’ve been at this spot for years and seen the highway change quite a bit. At the end of the day, we just want the goods to get where they’re going.
