Shagun Veg Restaurant

We’re situated in the Shivlal Motilal Mansion, right on D B Road near the Mumbai Central Junction. It’s a very busy part of town, always people rushing to catch trains or heading to work. Shagun Veg Restaurant is just a simple spot where you can sit down for a bit and get away from all that noise outside. We only serve vegetarian food because that’s what we know how to do. The place is at M 61, and it’s been there for a long time. The building itself has that old Mumbai feel to it, which we kind of like. Inside, it’s nothing special, just tables and a counter. We focus on the cooking and getting the orders right. It can get pretty cramped during the lunch hour when the office crowd comes in, but we try to move fast. Sometimes the service is a bit slow when we’re understaffed, but we do our best. We don't have a fancy menu with photos or anything, just the items we make every day. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up early, prep the vegetables, and open the doors. People know us as the place near the junction where they can get a quick meal without any hassle. It’s just how we earn our living. We’ve seen the city change a lot from our window, but we just keep doing what we do.
