Shadab Mobile

Shadab Mobile is located right at Tukaram Paduka Chowk in Ghatkopar, at shop number 83/6. It is a small shop, probably not much bigger than a walk-in closet, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. The walls are covered from top to bottom with phone cases, wires, and spare parts for various mobile models. We spend most of our time hunched over a small workbench at the back, fixing cracked screens or replacing batteries that have given up. It is a bit of a messy place, with tiny screws and bits of plastic often ending up on the floor. The chowk outside is always buzzing with activity, so there is never a quiet moment during the day. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room; people just stand by the counter and talk to us while we work. We started this shop because we were good with electronics and wanted to stay close to home. Most of our customers are people from the local apartments who have known us for years. We don’t have a website or any advertisements. Our name is just painted on a board above the door. Sometimes the soldering iron gets too hot and the shop smells like burnt plastic, but that is just part of the job. We stay open until late at night because that is when most people realize their phones are broken. It is a busy life, but we like being our own bosses here in Ghatkopar.
