We are Sewacouncil Of Skill And Vocationalstudies, based in Unit No 101 at Wellington Business Park 1. This is in Andheri East, really close to the Marol Metro Station. Being near the metro is a real lifesaver because the traffic in Mumbai is usually a complete mess. We are on the first floor, so it’s easy for us to get in and out during the day. The building is one of those standard business parks where everyone seems busy with their own thing. We spend our hours looking at vocational training plans and trying to coordinate all the different schedules. It involves a lot of sitting at desks and looking at spreadsheets, to be honest. Sometimes we grab a quick snack from the vendors near the station when we have time. The office itself is pretty plain, just white walls and some posters here and there. We don’t really do the whole corporate image thing; we just want to get the work done. There is always a hum from the air conditioning and the distant sound of the metro trains passing by. We have a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. It gets pretty hectic during the middle of the week. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. It is a practical spot for what we do, and being in Andheri means we are right in the middle of everything. We just keep at it every day.
