Seven Stars Dresses

We are over at No. 119/5 on Barkat Al Virani Marg, specifically in the Huzariya Street area. Seven Stars Dresses is a small place, but we keep very busy. The street is quite narrow, so you have to watch where you’re walking. Inside, there are dresses everywhere. We have them on hangers, in boxes, and sometimes just draped over the chairs if we are checking something. It’s a bit crowded with all the fabric and threads. We have a couple of old machines that have been with us for years. They make a lot of noise, but they still work perfectly fine. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, so we do most of the detailed work near the front window. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time and we know the regulars who pass by every day. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We don't use any fancy computer systems, just a notebook to keep track of what we make. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a few minutes while we work. It’s that kind of place. We take pride in the stuff we make, even if we don't talk about it much. When the day ends, we just lock up the heavy metal door and head home, ready to do it again tomorrow. The work is hard on the eyes but we don't mind.
