We have our main place at 83/85 Masjid Raopura Main Road. It’s a very busy street and the traffic never seems to stop, especially with all the trucks and vans going past. We are right by the masjid so we hear the calls for prayer throughout the day, which gives the place a certain rhythm. Our business is transport, so there is always someone coming in to talk about loads or checking on where a truck is. The office floor is usually a bit dusty from the road outside and we have stacks of logbooks and papers everywhere. It’s not the cleanest place but it’s where the work gets done. We spend a lot of our time on the main road helping drivers or making sure the goods are packed right. The weather gets very hot out there on the pavement, so we spend a lot of time sitting under the fan when we aren't outside. We've been on this road for a long time and the shopkeepers around us are all friends. It’s a lot of manual work and sometimes things get delayed because of the traffic or a breakdown, but that is just part of the transport life. We don't have any fancy brochures or anything like that. We just talk to people face to face and get the trucks moving down the road.
