Sense D

You can find Sense D at Shop No 7 inside the Makdul Miya Compound in Chembur. We are right across the road from the Shiv Sena Shaka which makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. The compound itself is an old one and it has a lot of character. We’ve been in this shop for a few years now and it’s become our second home. It’s not the biggest shop in Chembur but we make the most of the space we have. The mornings are usually spent tidying up the shelves and checking what needs to be done. We get a lot of noise from the main road but inside the compound it’s a bit more tucked away. Most of our neighbors are other small businesses so we all know each other well. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when things are slow. The shop has a simple metal shutter and some basic lighting that we installed ourselves. We don’t go for anything too modern because it wouldn’t fit the vibe of Makdul Miya Compound. People around here just stop by to chat or see what’s new in Shop No 7. It’s a practical way to run a business and we don’t feel the need for anything more. Chembur is a busy area and being near the shaka keeps us in the middle of everything.
