Chain Crafts

Chain Crafts is based at No. 254 in the Kewal Industrial Estate. It’s right on Senapati Bapat. Being in an industrial estate means there’s constant noise from the other units. We’ve got a fairly large space, but it’s mostly filled with machinery and raw materials. It’s not the cleanest place; there’s always a bit of metal shavings or oil on the floor. We spend our shifts monitoring the machines and making sure the links are coming out right. It’s repetitive work, but it needs to be done. The estate gets really busy in the afternoons when everyone is trying to ship their goods out. We often have to wait our turn at the loading dock. Our office is just a tiny corner with a desk that’s covered in files and old coffee mugs. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to talk to them. The air in the estate can be a bit heavy with the smell of grease and exhaust. We’ve been here at number 254 for quite a while now. It’s a tough environment, but we’re used to it. We just focus on keeping the equipment running and getting the batches finished on time at Chain Crafts. It is not an easy job, but it is what we do here on Senapati Bapat. We stay busy.
