Sea Box Logistics

Our place is over at Plot No 22 in Piramal Nagar. It’s in Goregaon West, right near the petrol pump and the fertilizer colony. It’s a logistics business, so there is always something being moved or tracked. We have a lot of crates and boxes coming through here. The office is pretty basic, mostly just some computers and a lot of clipboards. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking where a shipment has gotten to. It can get stressful when things are delayed, but we just try to deal with it one step at a time. The area around S V Road is always packed with traffic, which makes the timing of deliveries a bit of a gamble sometimes. We’ve got a small team here. We aren't some giant international shipping giant, we just handle the local logistics and coordination. Sometimes we stay late waiting for a truck to arrive or to make sure a container is cleared. It’s not a clean job, you’re always handling dusty boxes or paperwork that’s been through a few hands. There’s a tea stall nearby where we go when we need a break from the screens. We just do what needs to be done to keep the goods moving from one point to another without too much trouble. It is hard work but we are used to the pace of this neighborhood.
