S.D. Engineers & Sons

Our office, S.D. Engineers & Sons, is situated in the Imperial Chambers building. It’s on the first floor, right on S.S. Tolani Road in Ballard Estate. If you’ve ever walked around Ballard Estate, you know those old stone buildings have a lot of character and history. Ours is no different. It feels solid and permanent. We do engineering-related work, which keeps us pretty busy most of the week. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep our tools, drawings, and files. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the architecture anymore, we just see it as where we go to work. Being on the first floor is handy because we don’t have to wait for the elevator much. Ballard Estate is a nice area, a bit quieter than the main markets but still very much in the thick of things. We usually have a lot going on with different projects, so the atmosphere inside is quite focused. We aren't big on corporate talk or big presentations. We just like to get the technical stuff right. Sometimes we sit and have a tea and talk about the jobs we’ve finished or the ones coming up. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even with the "Sons" in the name, it really is a group effort here. We just stay at it, day in and day out, in our little corner of Imperial Chambers.
