Scinova

Our office for Scinova is tucked away in Marine Chamber, right along Panchmukhi Mahadev Lane in the Marine Lines area. It is one of those old lanes that feels a bit crowded during the middle of the day. You have to walk past the temple to find us. The air usually smells like incense from the lane and salt from the sea. Marine Lines is a tight space, so parking is always a bit of a gamble around here. We spend most of our time inside the room at Marine Chamber. It is not a very big space, but it fits everything we need. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the lift in the building is sometimes a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs. Raopura is a busy spot and people are always rushing past. We have been at this location for a while. Sometimes the noise from the street comes right through the windows, but we have gotten used to it. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is handled. It is a practical setup for the work we do. Most of our day is spent at our desks or talking to the people who drop by the lane. It is a lived-in office with stacks of papers and old fans that hum. We like being near the water even if we are mostly stuck inside working and drinking our coffee.
