School Of Broadcasting & Communication (SBC)

Our center is in the Andhakshi Building on Gilbert Hill Road. It’s very close to Bhavan’s College in Andheri West, so there are always lots of students in the area. We have a few floors where we keep our editing bays, the small studio, and the classrooms. It’s a place for people who want to learn about media and how things work behind a camera or a microphone. You won’t find any marble floors or fancy lobbies here. It’s a working environment. There are cables running along some of the walls and equipment cases sitting in the corners. Students are usually busy working on their projects or sitting in small groups discussing ideas. We try to keep the gear in good shape, but it gets a lot of use. The street outside is typical for Andheri—narrow and busy. Parking is always a bit of a headache if you’re driving. We spend most of our time helping students figure out the software or explaining how to frame a shot. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have a big marketing team; most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from someone else in the industry. It’s just a straightforward school for people interested in the media world.
