Savla Brothers

Down here on 90 Feet Road, right across from the Crime Branch in Dharavi, you will find Savla Brothers. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic never really stops being loud with all the rickshaws and delivery trucks going by. We have been running things from this shop for a long time now, and honestly, the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. It is a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand, and sometimes you have to squeeze past a stack of crates just to get to the back where the fan is. My brother and I usually open up around the same time every morning, unless one of us is running late because of the train or the rain. It is a family thing, so we argue sometimes about where stuff should go or who didn't tidy up, but we always get the work done by the end of the day. The location is easy for people to find since everyone knows the Crime Branch building right across the street. We get a lot of walk-ins, people just passing by on their way through the neighborhood who need something quick for their home. It isn't a quiet place to work, but we are used to the shouting and the horns by now. We just sit on our stools, talk to the regulars who stop for a chat, and handle whatever comes through the door. It’s basic, honest work and we have been at it long enough.
